Who is Gary Mercury?
Gary Mercury is a deeply spiritual artist, having survived two near-death, life changing experiences. He has spent time in the mountains with the Teyuna tribes in Colombia, soaking up the wisdom of our Elder Brothers which altered his life for the better. These experiences have pulled away the veil of normal, mundane life. Unexplainable phenomenon growing up in Hawai'i such as glowing orbs of light, fireballs, and haunting drums in the hills contributed to this. His dreams have always been vivid, exploring extraordinary worlds that seemed so real. Dream journals have helped him to remember those mystical places and certainly influence his style and subject matter of art.
Gary's skill doesn't come from a formal art degree, rather he seeks training with many masters in painting such as Autumn Skye, Alex Grey, Michael Fuchs, wood block carving and print making with Maestro Abraham in Oaxaca City, Mexico and now marble sculpting with his neighbor, Jack Langford in Phoenix, Oregon. Gary's degree in Architecture, his passion for all things art and design has led the way and you can see that influence in his work. Gary's art mainly belongs in the school of Fantastic Realism.

Vision
Gary is always experimenting with art forms, from acrylic to oil paint, ink drawing, abstract to realism, wood art, candles, even more recently a beautiful treehouse vacation rental in Hawai'i. Many masters have told him to focus on one style, yet Gary has embraced his mercurial nature and never stops exploring new mediums, hence the name and branding of Gary Mercury.
